Optus 30m High Steel Tower is to provide services, Optus mostly owns and operates its own network infrastructure, and also uses the wholesale services of the National Broadband Network and Telstra. It provides services both directly to end users and also acts as a wholesaler to other service providers such as Exetel and Amaysim.

Health concerns have been raised globally about exposure to Electromagnetic Energy (EME) emissions, through mobile phones and mobile network infrastructure like base stations.
Health & Safety impacts
There’s Currently no proven evidence of public health risks from EME exposure at the levels typically produced by mobile phones or mobile phone towers. However, concern about perceived risks can persist.
Our network, products and services are all fully compliant with all relevant Federal Government mandated standards.
These standards are formulated and regularly reviewed by the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), part of the Commonwealth Department of Health. ARPANSA’s Standards are based upon those recommended by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
In 2013 the Workspace roof was removed and old ceiling insulation completely replaced. The old wool ceiling insulation was breaking up after 20 years of being installed and dropping particles onto tenant unit floors. All the Workspace roofs screws were completely replaced at the same time with heavy duty cyclone rated galvanized screws.
In 2015 the Workspace 8 roof ventilators were replaced, the roof was completely cleaned and washed. The Workspace roof was resprayed by local company Summerland Roofing.

The Workspace committee have decided to install a new solar PV system at the Workspace building complex.
Solar is now a viable option for any business with expected paybacks of between 2.5 to 5 years depending on usage and situation. Your expected annual returns for the systems quoted would be between $1300 (Full export 5.4kw) and $3750 (Full usage 6.5kw system).
